And we have the crews and experience needed to help you with this change! But, if you are just thinking about giving your kitchen a facelift, painting your existing cabinets can be a great project for you. Plus, painting the cabinets you already have is typically about ⅓ of the cost of a full replacement. Do I have to do anything to my cabinets before you start? Clean them? Wipe them down? Empty them out?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T13:52:01-04:00Do I have to do anything to my cabinets before you start? Clean them? Wipe them down? Empty them out? Cabinets need to be emptied in most instances.  We can discuss the specifics with you and your particular kitchen, but it’s best practice to empty them as we remove drawer slides, hinges, etc. to paint cabinets like “they came that way”. We also ask that you remove any decorations from the top of cabinets, vacuum up any dust bunnies on top, etc. DeHaan Painting always does the final cleaning after you do the initial clean Can I use my kitchen while you are working on my cabinets?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T13:56:50-04:00Can I use my kitchen while you are working on my cabinets? Your kitchen will be out of commission for approx. 3-6 days depending on the number of colors, size, etc. We will partitioning your kitchen off from the rest of your home and will also be masking all openings Should I stay somewhere else if my kitchen is not usable?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T13:58:23-04:00Should I stay somewhere else if my kitchen is not usable? If you have the ability to stay elsewhere, it would be more convenient; however it’s not required This sometimes provides a break for whomever the cook is in your house! Can you fix any broken or cracked cabinets?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T13:59:54-04:00Can you fix any broken or cracked cabinets? We can fix broken/cracked cabinets or replace cabinets as needed.  We also offer Refacing, Redoors, & other services to renovate your existing cabinets Can you swatch different colors of the cabinets?Bob Stigers2023-12-07T13:01:11-04:00Can you swatch different colors of the cabinets? We can match just about any color.  In fact, all cabinet colors are custom.  Pick any Sherwin Williams, Ben Moore, Farrow & Ball, etc. color and we will provide you with a custom match to approve before we begin application. Can you help me select the right type of paint for my cabinets?Bob Stigers2023-12-07T13:03:48-04:00Can you help me select the right type of paint for my cabinets? We use top of the line Industrial Wood Coatings (“paint”).  Often time these products are referred to as “lacquer”, but are superior in every way.  Whether it be conversion varnish or a water based polyurethane; we can provide you with the correct product for your project to ensure it can withstand daily kitchen use. Products we use include Renner 851, Icro, & Gemini. Interior PaintingDo you warranty interior painting?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:14:36-04:00Do you warranty interior painting? We do!  We warranty just about all of our projects for 2 years against workmanship defects.  That means we won’t apply a latex paint straight over top of your oil based trim; leaving you holding the bag when the paint peels right off. We use thorough prep & take our time to be sure it’s perfect! My home is older – do you ever run into problems with the walls you have to replace drywall or material instead of fix?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:13:50-04:00My home is older – do you ever run into problems with the walls you have to replace drywall or material instead of fix? It’s rare, but we do find this from time to time.  This happens from water damage, if plaster separates from the lathe, etc.  Most of the time this is caught in the initial consultation/inspection stage. How long does it take to paint a regular sized bedroom? Bathroom? Living room? Etc. ie – do you say a room a day as an estimate for how long you will be in a home?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:12:54-04:00How long does it take to paint a regular sized bedroom? Bathroom? Living room? Etc. ie – do you say a room a day as an estimate for how long you will be in a home? If we are walking into a room that is ready to go, we can paint 2 coats to the walls and clean up in under 8 hours.  However, if there are repairs, trim, ceilings, etc. that could be increased to 2-3 days for most rooms. We are very thorough in making sure that we apply the number of coats spec’d and that each layer is dry before moving onto the next step. Will you paint over or fill in wall decor nail holes? Can you not do this if we want to put the same artwork in the same places?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:10:23-04:00Will you paint over or fill in wall decor nail holes? Can you not do this if we want to put the same artwork in the same places? As part of the removal process involving the homeowner, this allows you to decide if you want to put any decor back or start with a clean slate.  We like to remove nails to leave an empty hole for decor that is to be filled and leave the nail in place as a visual reminder if you’d like to put it back in the same place. Do I need to take hanging pictures and decor off my walls?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:09:46-04:00Do I need to take hanging pictures and decor off my walls? We can help with large or difficult to reach decor, but it’s recommended that you do this prior to painting.  This makes sure you are able to put all items in a safe place. Will your crew move and cover my furniture?Bob Stigers2023-12-07T13:06:51-04:00Will your crew move and cover my furniture? YES!  We move and cover furniture on a daily basis.  I would say our typical job is what I would call “High end occupied”.  We don’t paint a lot of apartments and rarely paint empty homes, so covering and protecting your home is always on our mind. We just ask you to make the furniture moveable.  Ex. removing all of Grandma’s China from your China Cabinet, so we can move it. Should I have you paint multiple rooms within the same project?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:07:46-04:00Should I have you paint multiple rooms within the same project? If you have plans to paint multiple rooms, it’s best to do that all at once in most cases.  That doesn’t mean we can’t do different phases, but if you do 1 room today and 1 room next month, the cost will be more when spread out because we have to do everything twice.  Doing it all at once allows for us to find some efficiencies in both labor & materials. Can you swatch different colors for my walls?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:07:01-04:00Can you swatch different colors for my walls? Of course!  Just let us know and we will be happy to provide you with some samples.  Better yet, we like to use Samplize or order Samplize paint samples from Ben Moore & Sherwin Williams.  This allows you to use an adhesive sticker made of real paint on your walls.  Best of all, it’s reversible by simply removing it. Can you advise me on the right type of paint to use?Bob Stigers2023-12-07T13:05:44-04:00Can you advise me on the right type of paint to use? Our “standard” offerings are as follows: Walls We really like Sherwin Williams Duration for it’s versatility.  It does great in moist environments like bathrooms & high traffic areas.  Best of all, we buy so much of this product that it’s an economical choice! Ben Moore Scuff-X or Regal are also great standard options. They have great coverage & do well in high traffic areas, although at an increased cost from Sherwin Williams Duration.  If you do pick a Benjamin Moore color, we do recommend using Benjamin Moore paint for that 100% correct paint match. Trim We really like Sherwin Williams Pro Industrial Water-based Alkyd Urethane.  The name is sure a mouthful, but it has just as many qualities that we like as it does words in it’s name!  This product adheres to trim previously painted with oil or latex paints.   It finishes like an oil, but has fewer VOC’s and water clean up like latex paint.  It’s also a professional quality paint that we use on almost every job we touch. Do you have to use a primer paint before applying color?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:04:29-04:00Do you have to use a primer paint before applying color? This is not always necessary.  Primers are mostly used on raw substrates (sheetrock, raw wood, etc),  stained areas, and for dramatic color changes. If you have previously painted walls in good shape, we can usually apply 2-3 coats without a primer. Will you repair nail pops and issues on my walls before painting?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:03:40-04:00Will you repair nail pops and issues on my walls before painting? A standard part of the painting process is what we call point up.  This is included as part of the project and is done on every job.  This includes nail holes, touching up caulk, and nail pops In the event we determine you have enough nail pops, cracks, holes, etc. to qualify as a “repair”; we will provide for that in your proposal. Exterior PaintingDo you warranty exterior painting?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:26:47-04:00Do you warranty exterior painting? YES! We also warranty everything except horizontal surfaces for 2 years How long will the paint products you use last with our climate?Bob Stigers2024-01-30T15:37:54-04:00How long will the paint products you use last with our climate? We find most of our jobs last between 8-10 years before they start to need a refresh.  Usually the sunniest side of the house receives the most wear and tear. My home is older – do you ever run into problems you have to replace instead of fix it?Bob Stigers2023-12-07T13:10:29-04:00My home is older – do you ever run into problems you have to replace instead of fix it? Yes. A lot of times on older homes, we find materials that are sub-par ex. Masonite siding.  We often replace this with fiber cement or James Hardie Siding. We also like to use PVC trim when able since this will never rot. Can you paint/stain porches, trim, fences (wood/metal/plastic)?Bob Stigers2023-12-07T13:09:38-04:00Can you paint/stain porches, trim, fences (wood/metal/plastic)? Yep!  We do our fair share of fences, porches, stained decks, etc.  We do not recommend painting vinyl fences/trim; but it can be done.  The same old adage of “clean, dull, & dry” applies here. We can apply multiple types of stain Transparent Semi Transparent Semi-Solid Solid Penetrating Can you paint the outside of my home when I’m not home?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:22:41-04:00Can you paint the outside of my home when I’m not home? Painting the exterior of your home is not as invasive as painting the inside of your home, but it can be a bit unnerving to make eye contact with someone through a window on your 2nd or 3rd floor.  If you prefer to be at work or away from home, we’d be happy to paint while you are not home If we are painting windows and/or doors, we will need access to have those unlocked to paint. Will you fix issues/damage you find before painting? Will you communicate these issues with me and if you find something that you aren’t able to fix?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:20:57-04:00Will you fix issues/damage you find before painting? Will you communicate these issues with me and if you find something that you aren’t able to fix? Absolutely.  We believe in transparency & work hard to be transparent in what we will do, communicate any changes, & help find someone who can fix something if can’t. Will you work with my HOA on paint color change approvals?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:20:17-04:00Will you work with my HOA on paint color change approvals? We are always happy to assist our customers in seeing their vision come to fruition, however, this is usually a task that is left to the homeowner. Do you clean the exterior of my home before painting?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:19:16-04:00Do you clean the exterior of my home before painting? This is a critical first step to ensuring a quality job.  A basic premise of painting is “clean, dull, & dry”.  Cleaning is the first step before we can make sure all surfaces are dull by scuff sanding. Can you paint any type of substrate on my home?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:17:58-04:00Can you paint any type of substrate on my home? We can paint any substrate on your home, however, we are knowledgeable in what substrates should be left unpainted (galvanized metal, glazed brick, etc) Can you paint any time of year?Bob Stigers2023-12-07T13:08:08-04:00Can you paint any time of year? The short answer is yes.  Long answer is it depends.  We find the months of July-August are often too hot/humid & December-January are too cool & damp. We operate in temperatures above 35* overnight to be sure your paint has time to properly dry/cure before freezing (not just the time of day we are working).  We also try to limit daytime highs in the heat of summer to 95* for the safety of our crews & to ensure the paint does not have an extended dry time due to humidity or rapid drying to high heat. Limewash and Mineral PaintingDo you warranty this work?Bob Stigers2023-12-07T13:12:13-04:00Do you warranty this work? You can, but it could be more difficult.  When it’s really hot, the limewash could dries very quickly, limiting the working time to remove the product for distressing and/or erasing it.  When it’s cold, dry times increase and the job takes a lot longer.  The best days for limewash are actually those warm, overcast days where you typically wouldn’t paint outside. It’s a little different than regular exterior paint weather since moisture isn’t as much of an issue.  We actually have to wet the house down to allow the lime wash/masonry flat to absorb and we often use water to distress/achieve the look, so water is a natural part of the process Can you remove a limewash or mineral paint if we don’t like it?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:35:33-04:00Can you remove a limewash or mineral paint if we don’t like it? Until it calcifies (3-5 days), it can be removed pretty easily.  We collect inspiration photos from clients and then create samples before completing the entire home.  There have been times where we’ve had to remove all of our hard work and start over again, so it’s definitely possible. We’ve used other products that had long manufacturing times, limited support, the need for special equipment, & were difficult to use.  Romabio has none of those issues I tried to do this myself – can you fix it?Bob Stigers2023-11-20T14:34:10-04:00I tried to do this myself – can you fix it? We also like to use PVC trim when able since this will never rot. - [Can you paint/stain porches, trim, fences (wood/metal/plastic)?](https://dehaanpaints.com/faq-items/can-you-paint-stain-porches-trim-fences-wood-metal-plastic/): Yep!  We do our fair share of fences, porches, stained decks, etc.  We do not recommend painting vinyl fences/trim; but it can be done.  The same old adage of “clean, dull, & dry” applies here. We can apply multiple types of stain Transparent Semi Transparent Semi-Solid Solid Penetrating - [Can you paint the outside of my home when I’m not home?](https://dehaanpaints.com/faq-items/can-you-paint-the-outside-of-my-home-when-im-not-home/): Painting the exterior of your home is not as invasive as painting the inside of your home, but it can be a bit unnerving to make eye contact with someone through a window on your 2nd or 3rd floor.  If you prefer to be at work or away from home, we’d be happy to paint while you are not home If we are painting windows and/or doors, we will need access to have those unlocked to paint. - [Will you fix issues/damage you find before painting? We use thorough prep & take our time to be sure it’s perfect! - [My home is older – do you ever run into problems with the walls you have to replace drywall or material instead of fix?](https://dehaanpaints.com/faq-items/my-home-is-older-do-you-ever-run-into-problems-with-the-walls-you-have-to-replace-drywall-or-material-instead-of-fix/): It’s rare, but we do find this from time to time.  This happens from water damage, if plaster separates from the lathe, etc.  Most of the time this is caught in the initial consultation/inspection stage. - [How long does it take to paint a regular sized bedroom? Bathroom? Living room? Etc. ie – do you say a room a day as an estimate for how long you will be in a home?](https://dehaanpaints.com/faq-items/how-long-does-it-take-to-paint-a-regular-sized-bedroom-bathroom-living-room-etc-ie-do-you-say-a-room-a-day-as-an-estimate-for-how-long-you-will-be-in-a-home/): If we are walking into a room that is ready to go, we can paint 2 coats to the walls and clean up in under 8 hours.  However, if there are repairs, trim, ceilings, etc. that could be increased to 2-3 days for most rooms. We are very thorough in making sure that we apply the number of coats spec’d and that each layer is dry before moving onto the next step. - [Will you paint over or fill in wall decor nail holes? Can you not do this if we want to put the same artwork in the same places?](https://dehaanpaints.com/faq-items/will-you-paint-over-or-fill-in-wall-decor-nail-holes-can-you-not-do-this-if-we-want-to-put-the-same-artwork-in-the-same-places/): As part of the removal process involving the homeowner, this allows you to decide if you want to put any decor back or start with a clean slate.  We like to remove nails to leave an empty hole for decor that is to be filled and leave the nail in place as a visual reminder if you’d like to put it back in the same place. - [Do I need to take hanging pictures and decor off my walls?](https://dehaanpaints.com/faq-items/do-i-need-to-take-hanging-pictures-and-decor-off-my-walls/): We can help with large or difficult to reach decor, but it’s recommended that you do this prior to painting.  This makes sure you are able to put all items in a safe place. - [Will your crew move and cover my furniture?](https://dehaanpaints.com/faq-items/will-your-crew-move-and-cover-my-furniture/): YES! - [Should I have you paint multiple rooms within the same project?](https://dehaanpaints.com/faq-items/should-i-have-you-paint-multiple-rooms-within-the-same-project/): If you have plans to paint multiple rooms, it’s best to do that all at once in most cases.  That doesn’t mean we can’t do different phases, but if you do 1 room today and 1 room next month, the cost will be more when spread out because we have to do everything twice.  Doing it all at once allows for us to find some efficiencies in both labor & materials. - [Can you swatch different colors for my walls?](https://dehaanpaints.com/faq-items/can-you-swatch-different-colors-for-my-walls/): Of course! ## Testimonials - [Farrah Evans](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/farrah-evans/): Exceptional service from start to finish. The owner, Matt, answered my initial email inquiry immediately + answered all questions I had before I was even able to ask. Thorough explanations + efficient customer service. I wanted Roman Clay on my kitchen range hood, which it isn’t easy to find someone who offers Roman Clay/plaster services here in Charlotte. I came across one of Matt’s blogs featuring a recent Roman Clay project and reached out immediately. He keeps colors in stock (which is amazing) and also had a sample of my kitchen cabinet color, so he was able to color match + send me photos without me having to come in the store. He was able to get me on the schedule a week later, so it was a quick turnaround. Silvia performed the work and did an amazing job. The owner met her at my house the morning of the job to do a quick walk through to make sure everyone was on the same page + I was happy. Highly recommend and would use again and again! So happy I found DeHaan Painting. - [Michael Edwards](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/michael-edwards/): DeHann Painting has helped me with multiple projects over the years and has become a trusted provider. They have specialized product knowledge and are great about recommending the right product for the job such as a hardened finish for my built-ins and a deep penetrating stain for my porch. I've always been happy with the work. - [Stefano Schmalzbauer](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/stefano-schmalzbauer/): The best experience with a painter we have had. Responsive, professional, and very knowledgeable. Matt, Jason, and the team are proud of their craft and it shows into the details from draping and covering to helping with color selection and sheen. - [Meredith Werley](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/meredith-werley/): We had not had any work done on the exterior of our home in the 14 years we have owned it, and it was in need of a lot of things - full power wash, some siding board replacements, fascia replacement, new gutters, complete paint job, etc. We chose DeHaan and could not have been happier with this choice - it feels like we got a completely brand new home. Everything is absolutely perfect, and the love and care that went into making it that way is evident. It's been about a month now since they finished it, and we still get neighbors walking by telling us how much they love it and love the new color. I would highly recommend these folks to anyone in need of exterior repairs and painting. Even the folks they contracted out to help, like with the power washing and gutters, were also amazing. Special shoutouts to Jason, Chenoa, and Matt for your hard work, oversight, addressing our questions and needs, and for ensuring such quality work. Thank you so much!!! <3 - [Megan](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/megan/): DeHaan Painting exceeded every expectation—and that’s saying something coming from someone who’s hard to impress. We hired them to repaint our limewashed fireplace with Roman clay, and the entire experience with Matt, Chenoa, Jason, and Silvia was exceptional from start to finish. - [Deanna Shue](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/deanna-shue/): DeHaan painted our exterior stone with a custom color Romabio Limewash and it looks amazing. They were professional and meticulous in helping us get the exact right color and coverage. The job was finished quickly and I’m so pleased. - [Diane Gavarkavich](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/diane-gavarkavich/): The attention to detail was incredible and communication was a breeze. The repairs and paint job are immaculate. Everything feels clean and new. Highly recommend. - [Joanne Wheeler](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/joanne-wheeler/): We could not be happier with DeHaan Painting! Jason and Jaime are perfectionists, came on time every day, cleaned up beautifully, and were enjoyable to have in our home the whole week. Thank so much. We have also shared our positive experience with our entire Regency at Palisades community’s Facebook page 😄 - [Jeffrey Muth](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/jeffrey-muth/): Mat and his team did a great job! They are quick to get me quotes and to start the job. Before started the job, they went the extra effort to make sure they had paint that matched what was needed.I would highly recommend. - [Melissa Phelps](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/melissa-phelps/): Wow, Matt truly went above and beyond for my client looking to get some interior work repaired. Professional, prompt, and quality craftsmanship are to name a few of what he has to offer. Look no further than DeHaan! I look forward to referring him again in the future. - [Ryan Hart](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/ryan-hart/): We had a wonderful experience working with DeHaan at Puerta. They worked closely with us on selecting samples and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our selections before work began. Here are some before and after sample photos! We had them come back and do our kitchen door as well to tie the whole wall together. - [Dan](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/dan/): I hired Dehaan Painting to paint two interior bathrooms, including walls, trim, and ceilings, and they exceeded expectations in every way. From the initial consult, they really listened, asked thoughtful questions, and made sure they understood exactly what we wanted. - [Allex Snyder](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/allex-snyder/): We cannot thank Dehaan, specifically Silvia, enough for the incredible work done in our bathroom. We had another company do Roman clay and it was a disaster. We then hired Dehaan to sand down and do the Roman clay again and it was the best decision we could have made! Silvia is a true artist. She took her time with every crevice and stroke. We’ve learned Roman clay application requires real skill and Silvia is one of the best I can attest. Do not hesitate to use Dehaan for Roman clay! It was such a seamless process. - [Carter Barnett](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/carter-barnett/): This is the second time we’ve worked with DeHaan painting, this time for an exterior brick paint job. The paint, shutters, trim, etc. all look incredible and we are so happy with the end result. We are always impressed with their attention to detail, transparency throughout the process, and extremely responsive communication. They are so helpful in guiding you and have an incredible team. We will be using them for any paint needs we have in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone! - [Chad Mackie](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/chad-mackie/): Had an awesome experience with DeHaan Painting! Matt and Chenoa were super responsive and quick to arrange a visit to discuss my project and get a quote. Then once agreed, worked quickly to schedule the work. - [Karen G](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/karen-g/): The DeHaan team painted our buildings recently so who better to go with when it came time to paint the interior of my entire townhouse. Layton, Juan and Tonia were great; very detail-oriented and meticulous. They did a beautiful job. Kudos to the DeHaan team! - [Sebastian Fazzino](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/sebastian-fazzino/): I highly recommend DeHaan Painting. They are exceptionally professional and meticulous, and their workmanship stands out in every detail. The entire team is outstanding—from owner Matt DeHaan, to the onsite supervisor who checked in daily to support the crew, to our lead painter, Layton, whose work was exceptional throughout. We couldn’t be more pleased with the experience and results. An excellent company all around! - [Brian Riley](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/brian-riley/): We hired DeHaan Painting to paint the exterior of our home, including the shutters and doors, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results! The transformation is incredible — everything looks fresh, crisp, and beautifully done. - [Jordan S](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/jordan-s/): DeHaan Painting was amazing to work with throughout our whole interior project! The process from start to finish was seamless and felt effortless due to the experience of everyone involved. I can not recommend them enough if you have a painting project coming up. The finished product is some of the best painting I’ve seen in a long time. - [Michele Lemere](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/michele-lemere/): DeHaan has been doing our exterior painting and staining for several years, including color changes and maintenance. They are meticulous and reliable throughout the process, from scheduling and estimates through painting, repairs, and cleanup. Highly recommend! - [Sue Johnson](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/sue-johnson/): Delightful to work with! I had an interior brick wall lime washed and it turned out great. I was a bit nervous because I knew it was forever, so I was keeping my fingers crossed that it would not disappoint It did not. And my artist, Silvia, was so skilled. A very nice perk up for my 52 year old house!!! - [Justin Blower](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/justin-blower/): We could not recommend DeHaan painting highly enough. Their advice and ideas really helped us when deciding how to paint our kitchen cabinet and island. They were very patient and managed our expectations perfectly. Attention to detail and quality of finish was exceptional. We would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you! Claire and Justin - [Emily Chiarizia](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/emily-chiarizia/): We couldn’t be happier with the work DeHann Painting did for us. They were professional, responsive, and incredibly detail-oriented. The quality of the painting exceeded our expectations and everything was completed on time and exactly as promised. - [Byron Bunte](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/byron-bunte/): The DeHann team did an amazing job! We had our ground floor painted as well as getting our kitchen and bar cabinets done. Everything looks amazing and they were very easy to work with. The job started and ended on schedule. Highly recommend using them!! - [Maureen Scarcello](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/maureen-scarcello/): Having just moved to Lake Norman we were looking for a paint company who was an expert with white washing an exterior brick home. As a decorator, I was familiar with the process and the best paint product to protect the brick which is what DeHann suggested and had pictures to show their work. I actually asked, and received, addresses of the homes they had white washed and was very impressed with their work as opposed to other companies in the region who were using DeHann's pictures although they did not do the work. Our crew was amazing lead by Jason, our GC. Jason, who was incredibly easy to work with, listened to any concerns and addressed any issue that came up. Jamie was our primary painter and he scraped, prepared and stained our front doors and our faux wood shutters. We are absolutely thrilled the way everything came out and must thank Travis and Juan who prepared the house for white washing, painted our small tin roof and worked hand and hand with Jason and Jamie to achieve the wonderful results we are enjoying. In addition, Chenoa, who is the office manager, is an absolute delight. You will be in good hands with DeHann painting! - [Carter Comer](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/carter-comer/): The DeHaan team far exceeded our expectations! We had a full interior paint job that had a lot of moving parts and details. They were extremely organized and attentive throughout the entire project and were so accommodating as changes came up to make it exactly how we envisioned. We had other work being done at the same time which required a lot of collaboration with other vendors and even some HVAC/power outages along the way. They didn't complain once, found a way to make it work within the same timeline, and were just so kind! The quality of work is incredible and they are just such great people to work with. We will definitely be using them again for future projects and would recommend them to anyone! - [Ashley Short](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/ashley-short/): Matt and his team are wonderful. Very professional and detail oriented. They make sure to do everything right the first time and are very timely with their job. House looks incredible! - [Ed Lyghtel](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/ed-lyghtel/): We had a great experience with DeHaan Painting. The process of painting the exterior trim of our home was well done from estimate to finish. I would definitely recommend Matt and his team. - [Eric Hilgenfeldt](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/eric-hilgenfeldt/): Matt and his team did a wonderful job painting our exterior home. They were able to lime-wash our brick to our unique specifications perfectly as well as paint our siding to match. They also did a wonderful job applying German Schmeer to our existing stone veneer, which completely transformed the exterior of our home. They were timely, always arriving at 8 AM and never staying past 5 PM. Their workers were very respectful and the communication with their office staff was superb. They continuously provided updates on progress, estimates, days they would be there, and so on. Top notch group, will use again. - [Katrina Hutchins](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/katrina-hutchins/): They are always punctual and so thorough! Highly recommend! - [Joan Ruark](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/joan-ruark/): We have used DeHaan Painting several times. High quality professionals. A well-run business. Highly recommended. - [Sharon Sullivan](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/sharon-sullivan/): We have been very pleased with the quality of the work DeHaan Painting provides to our customers. They are responsive and timely when we reach out to them! Sharon Sullivan, CEO Renewal By Andersen of the Carolinas - [Elizabeth Hagan](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/elizabeth-hagan/): DeHaan Painting has painted just about everything in my house! The quality of workmanship is stellar. Matt and his crew go above and beyond to make sure a job is done to their high standards. They are also the nicest group of people to do business with. Everything is explained and performed carefully and always with a smile. - [Stephanie Puchacz](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/stephanie-puchacz/): DeHaan Painting, staff and crews, take customer service and quality of work to the next level. I've been so impressed with their attention to detail and communication. Seriously, if you ever need any sort of interior/exterior painting or drywall repairs, DeHaan should be your first call. They'll be your go-to painter. - [Superfly29er Dude](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/superfly29er-dude/): We used DeHaan recently to repair and repaint our home and garage. We mostly have the old Masonite siding which is awful particle board type stuff. Once exposed, it absorbs water, swells, and makes all kinds of problems. We also have a lot of wood trim such as porch railings, columns, facia and soffit trim, door trim etc. We'd been getting quotes when I discovered DeHaan. Matt DeHaan was instantly responsive and came to provide a quote. He listened and took notes regarding what we wanted and then took extensive photos and measurements. Shortly I received a highly detailed quote for our project. DeHaan was not the cheapest of our quotes, but the effort and detail was there. We also checked on two of their current jobs. We were assigned a project manager and the work began. The repair team...super careful and cleaned up behind themselves throughout the day. I couldn't be happier with the siding and water damage repair work that was completed. Excellent all the way. Caulk and sealed everything. Nothing missed. Painting began and they stayed on schedule despite weather and even worked around a party we hosted mid-project to ensure nothing was in our way and the grounds were spotless. Along the way a couple of problem areas were uncovered and the project manager had pictures and kept things moving. Our house now looks amazing and they even did little extras like painting our mailbox post to have it look fresh too. That was a cool surprise! Great communication. Great owner, office manager, project manager, repair team, and paint crew. Detailed, on time every time, and priced competitively. You can tell when people love their job and take pride in their company and work. DeHaan does it right. I've already referred two friends to them. Yep. We love it. - [Bailey Watts](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/bailey-watts/): Working with Dehaan Painting has been an absolute pleasure. They've consistently delivered outstanding results across several projects for us. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication to quality are truly commendable. I highly recommend them for anyone seeking top-notch painting services. - [A Kennedy](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/a-kennedy/): DeHaan Painting painted the entire exterior of our home. They did a fantastic job! They were professional, on time and detail oriented. The results were amazing! - [Meghan Peiffer](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/meghan-peiffer/): We have used DeHaan for two jobs now, and both times they have been incredible to work with! Professional, thorough, very responsive, detail-oriented. They are truly best-in-class. - [Lynnkei wayz](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/lynnkei-wayz/): Fast and Friendly and Professional service. - [Rebecca Deal](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/rebecca-deal/): DeHann painting flawlessly executed the work on our almost 15 year old deck that had a WIDE variety of colored boards of different ages. Our deck gets a lot of direct sun, so choosing the right stain was important. We had a Sherwin Williams deck product applied about 5 years ago, and that was just ok, and really didn’t cut it. This time we really did it right and got the Cutek Deck stain! Not only is it beautiful and rich in color, but the outcome was far superior to the Sherwin Williams. Many people have asked us if our deck is new! I would highly recommend using DeHann painting for the application of this product and spending the extra to have a product that lasts longer and requires less maintenance. - [Jennifer Podis](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/jennifer-podis/): We highly recommend DeHaan Painting. Matt DeHaan and his office staff were very responsive to our emails and calls. Matt showed up right on time for our estimate and, throughout the course of the 5-day interior painting job, his team showed up on schedule, too. They were very careful with our home and its contents. He came recommended to us from a neighbor and we were very pleased. - [Adele Shely](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/adele-shely/): DeHaan Painting does it best! Matt DeHaan and his team go above and beyond for their clients — including homeowners and designers. As a designer, it’s very important to have a painter you can rely on, especially when you’re unable to be on site during execution days. I wasn’t available to site manage the latest project we used their services for yet I still had peace of mind because this team is so detail oriented, extremely organized, very knowledgeable and skillful, and they genuinely care about the work they produce. Cannot recommend this company enough! - [Cameron Smith](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/cameron-smith/): 5 stars isnt high enough. I'm an anxious, protective person with really high standards. After speaking with Matt, going over options and the constant contact had me at ease. The Artist assigned to my job, Dixon, might be the best service work I've ever received. He took as good of care of my home as I do. His performance here has made my home look like a million dollars and get the finish better than I could have imagined. Far and wide exceeded all expectations and the results are out of this world fantastic. If you don't hire DeHaan Painting, you've already screwed up. And if you do, ask for Dixon. - [Mary Toffolon](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/mary-toffolon/): I had a 5 star experience from start to finish. When I called to inquire about a project, I left a message which was returned within 5 minutes. Matt, the owner, was friendly and willing to meet with me in a very timely manner. When he arrived for his scheduled appointment, he was courteous and did a great job explaining exactly what the process would be. I let him know that I was in a bit of a time crunch as I was getting ready to put the house on the market. He worked with me to get the job scheduled quickly and for a very reasonable price. On painting day, his team showed up and they were just as kind and friendly as he was. AND, they did an amazing job. The walls that they had to work with were way less than perfect, but somehow they managed to transform them. The imperfections were gone and everything looked wonderful. They took great care with their work and cleaned up when they were done. The entire experience exceeded any expectation that I could have possibly had. I HIGHLY recommend them for any/all painting projects. Great people, fair prices and amazing work! - [Courtenay Vanderbilt](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/courtenay-vanderbilt/): Best decision ever, and next best decision was engaging DeHaan to accomplish the distressed, Romabio lime wash treatment. It's an artistic treatment that can't be left to just anyone. It was a pleasure to work with such a professional and accomplished team. What a difference! Thank you! - [Joe P](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/joe-p/): Extremely professional, high-quality company. I hired them to paint my cabinets and I could not be more pleased with the results. You would never know that it wasn’t a factory finish. We’ve been showing them off to our friends and everyone has been extremely impressed. - [Kate Bulas](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/kate-bulas/): Dehaan Painting did a fantastic job of painting our new cabinet doors and drawers and giving our old kitchen a fresh new look. They were on time, very detailed-oriented and did an amazing job. I would highly recommend them! - [htopper15](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/htopper15/): Had our Kitchen Cabinets damaged when the new Marble Island Top was installed. Matt DeHaan came out, took them all back to his shop, brought them promptly back brand new. Re Installed and our Cabinets look exactly like they were before the damage..... even better. AND... Matt was very professional in all of this. Highly recommend - [Dr. Nate Tracy](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/dr-nate-tracy/): DeHaan painting is the absolute best if you want a quality job done. They do cabinets, walls, exteriors of your home, decks. The time and attention that they put into their work is amazing. If you want the job done right save yourself the time and go with DeHaan painting. - [John Fuller](https://dehaanpaints.com/testimonial/john-fuller/): DeHaan Painting has done several projects for us over the 8+ years we have worked with them. Their work is always top notch and their knowledge and expertise have been an invaluable part of our home projects.
